Most bidet coverage online is written either by shops that sell them or by publishers whose reader is a thirty-year-old furnishing a first apartment. Neither writes for the person we had in mind: someone in their sixties or seventies making their bathroom easier to use, or an adult child helping a parent do the same.

Those readers ask different questions. Not “which is the coolest bidet” but “will this fit my toilet”, “can I reach the controls”, “do I need an electrician”, and “what happens if I get it wrong”. Those answers exist, but they’re scattered across manuals, spec sheets and years of owner forum posts that nobody enjoys reading. We read them so you don’t have to.

On health and medical questions

A lot of people come to bidets because of limited mobility, recovery from surgery, or a condition that makes wiping painful. We write about the practical side of that — reach, seat height, grab bar clearance, controls you can operate with arthritic hands, what a caregiver needs to know.

We don’t give medical advice, and we don’t claim a bidet treats or cures anything. If you’re weighing one up for a medical reason, that conversation belongs with your doctor or occupational therapist. We’ll help with the fixture.
